After the recent power rankings placed the Nets at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, I believe it’s important to highlight some optimism about the team. Today, I want to explain why Nets fans should be hopeful going into the season.

The Nets are young and hungry.

Led by Jordi Fernandez and a young group of players, they have everything to prove. From the five rookies—Drake Powell, Ben Saraf, Egor Denim, Nolan Traore, and Danny Wolfe—to vets like Michael Porter Jr., Hayward Highsmith, Terrance Mann, Nicholas Claxton, and Cam Thomas, the team is eager to grow and improve. This toughness shows a Nets team with a lot to prove.
